Unless you’ve been living under the proverbial rock, I’m sure you’ve seen the Reebok commercials on T.V. for the new cross training kicks featuring Chad “OchoCinco” Johnson or Sidney “Sid the Kid” Crosby. The backdrophttp://www.reebokzigtechclassic.com/-c-.html?zenid=ao36okrkti8bb7lf84sa1e1r56 is blacked out and a red line takes you for a visual loop through different training situations and abruptly ends as one of the athletes says “the energy drink for your feet.” The ad’s about as eye-catching as the bugged out infomercial guy selling Slap Chop’s and ShamWow’s, leaving us intrigued about what the heck we just saw, to say the least.Recently, the good folks at RBK invited media personal to give the sneakers a-go with world class athletes: Ultimate Fighter Chuck Liddell, NFL http://www.reebokzigtechclassic.com/-c-.html?zenid=itjeaqnt2ov41li8ucs8nq5uk4 stars Jerricho Cotchery of the NY Jets and DeMarcus Ware of the Dallas Cowboys, up-and-coming Aussie actor, Liam Hemsworth and top-flight fitness trainer David Jack, who led all the workouts for the day. Each athlete had their own station designed to show us what they go through and see how the sneakers http://www.reebokzigtechclassic.com/-c-.html?zenid=jgl9n27qlep4fq9e4jpuaoeja5 hold up to some of their workouts-without killing us (especially Chuck). While the actual athletic ability of the bloggers, journalists and editors was definitely surprising, the biggest shock was that the sneakers actually did their jobs.
“I have a problem with shin splints,” Liddell said. “I’ve been training with these (sneakers) since January and I haven’t had any problems with them. By now my shins would be pretty beat up, so I’m happy with them.”
As a wide receiver, Cotchery makes some similar stop and go and quick-cut moves that a basketball player would. He says the shoe lives up to its billing and helps him maintain a high performance level.
“It’s by far the most comfortable trainer http://www.reebokzigtechclassic.com/-c-.html?zenid=kos6qffomur6vi2kavj4c9a330 shoe I’ve put on and I can go harder in my workouts,” he said. “Throughout any sport there’s a lot of wear and tear on your body. In basketball and being a receiver, you make a lot of stops on the dime, lateral movements and when you can take some of that wear and tear off with just a shoe, you can become a better athlete. With most shoes you feel every-step-you-take but with these, it’s as comfortable as a house shoe, man.”
