Reebok's latest commercial for their Zigtech http://www.reebokzigtechclassic.com/conditions.html?zenid=kccnberi7ijhpbbnr40aim7on3 sneaker line features the song 'Zig-a-dee - Zig-a-dac,' an explosive bit of distorted guitar dance-rock written by prolific British commercial music composer Glyn M. Owen.
If you're looking to add the song to your own exercise playlist, you're out of luck, at least for now. So far, Owen has recorded just this fragment of the song, specifically for the commercial, and Reebok http://www.reebokzigtechclassic.com/conditions.html?zenid=kos6qffomur6vi2kavj4c9a330 would have to give him permission to record and release a full-length version.
It should come as no surprise to fans of indie-rocker Beck that his music (most likely 'E-Pro') was an influence on this commercial's music. "Music production companies often send over a bunch of reference songs to use for inspiration," Owen explains from his recording studio outside London, England.
Owen is hopeful that a full-length version of the song he recorded for Reebox's first commercial of the series will be released commercially soon. "Loads of people have been requesting for it to be released. I've gotten hundreds of e-mails, but I don't own the rights. I know Reebok http://www.reebokzigtechclassic.com/conditions.html?zenid=ov3ivnocj5fgh7evkbukb3g3a4 is considering it."
In the meantime, you'll just have to listen to Owen's work on your television: Reebox's first commercial of the series, as well as the featured commercial below!
